With over a decade of experience as a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Becka Pogoda has dedicated herself to the mental health needs of adults and more specifically the perinatal population. Her passion for supporting individuals during the journey of conception, pregnancy, and the postpartum period is complemented by her certification in perinatal mental health care through Postpartum Support International. Becka believes in the importance of the emotional well-being of the family system, and she enjoys collaborating with all parents and caregivers.
In 2017, Becka established her private practice, focusing on adults and the perinatal population. Before this, she gained valuable experience at a community mental health center with offices in Bozeman and Livingston. Becka also spent eight years at Montana State University, where she served as the Program Lead for the Psychiatric Mental Health Doctor of Nursing Practice program teaching multiple courses focusing on psychopharmacology, mental illness assessment, ethics/law in nursing, and the APRN role.
Earlier in her nursing career, Becka specialized in the care of children and adolescents in an inpatient medical, surgical, and psychiatric stabilization unit at The Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver, CO. She began her journey in nursing as a certified nursing assistant while pursuing her education.
